Pam & Kid Wed--Again Aug 07, 2006 - 20:42

Pamela Anderson and Kid Rock tied the knot in the second of their planned four ceremonies in Detroit Saturday just a week after swapping vows for the first time in Saint-Tropez.

"It's official," the actress wrote on a posting to her Website. "Just left the courthouse!!!! Mr. and Mrs. Ritchie have left the building."

Anderson and Rock, whose real name is Bob Ritchie, have also opted to stay in the rocker's hometown for a prolonged honeymoon, getting a much-needed break from the grimy and un-picturesque French Riviera, where they were previously basking in a post-nuptial glow.

"Off to honeymoon in Detroit! Go Tigers!" Anderson wrote.

Details on this ceremony, unlike the last one, are slow coming, and no word yet on whether this trip down the aisle was also "the best most romantic wedding ever." However, seeing as how it took place at a city courthouse and not aboard a yacht in the Mediterranean, it's probably not as likely a contender for the title.

Still, the newlyweds have plenty of time to improve on the pomp: Anderson, 39, announced at a press conference last month that she and Ritchie, 35, would tie the knot four times, in Saint-Tropez, Detroit, Malibu and Nashville. While no dates were mentioned for any of the ceremonies, the pattern of a wedding per weekend seems to be emerging.

On July 29, just a week after announcing their engagement, Rock and Anderson tied the knot on a yacht just off the shore of Saint-Tropez. Among those in attendance were Cindy Crawford and husband Randy Gerber, David Furnish without husband Elton John, Jimmy Choo owner Tamara Mellon and photographer David La Chapelle, who walked the erstwhile Baywatch babe down the aisle.

"It was a real rock 'n' roll wedding," Furnish told People of the 'do. Though perhaps not as rock 'n' roll as was first reported.

Despite photos seemingly indicating otherwise, Anderson was quick to shoot down the notion that her new hubby went shirtless during the ceremony or that she donned nothing more than a white string bikini while swapping vows, as she did during her wedding to Tommy Lee.

"No!" she told Ryan Seacrest during a call in to his morning radio show Friday. "That was at the afterparty." Or, as brides sometimes refer to it, the reception.

"It was perfect. It was just absolutely perfect," she said of the ceremony, which included "Sweet Home Alabama" cued up to play during the duo's first official kiss.

As for reports that the first ceremony was purely for show, Anderson told Seacrest that it was in fact made official just a few days later.

"We just hit the courtroom [Thursday] on the way to the airport," she said.

Of course, she also denied just a day before it took place that she and Rock would be tying the knot in Detroit, saying she was simply in the city to "hang out." Anderson further put the kibosh on her initial announcement that she and Rock would also swap "I do's" in Nashville.

The suddenly-coy Playboy poser said she and Rock would be tying the knot just one more time, in Malibu.

"There's only one more wedding," she told Seacrest. "For the kids."

Part of the reason for her misleading statements could have been to throw the mood-killing paparazzi off track.

"I was so happy to get here," she wrote on her Website after her St. Tropez ceremony. "But now I can't wait to get away from these paparazzi--I swear they just wait for the ugliest pictures to take."

As for rumors that at least one of the rapid-fire weddings was shotgun, Anderson issued no formal denial, but did say she and Rock had talked about expanding their family.

"Who knows," she said. "There could be one in there now."
